Enzymes are biological substances that help break down proteins. Basically they are natural catalysts for control of metabolism and growth. Enzymes can be produced in an artificial way and added to all kinds of biological processes in order to control the rate in which chemical reactions occur.
A common use of enzymes is in washing powder, as washing clothes often involves removing biological dirt like sweat, blood or other human excrements. IRASSS has found a way to use enzymes to clean soil and water on a large scale, like cleaning golf courses and lakes.
Using enzymes to clean soil
The original purpose of Soil-Zyme™ was cleaning golf courses.
Using enzymes to clean lakes
When applying Soil-Zyme™ for cleaning turf grounds, IRASSS found that many managers of golf courses also had problems with the lakes in their venue. This is why IRASSS decided to do research to make an enzyme for the treatment of lakes.
After a lot of research IRASSS managed to create Lake-Zyme™ which is specifically engineered to clean large water bodies like lakes, not only in golf courses, but also in other areas.
Using enzymes to clean ponds
After successful use of Lake-Zyme™ in many lakes, IRASSS was wondering if a similar product could not be developed for the use in smaller water bodies, like just the pond in your own garden. IRASSS also succeeded to engineer a similar product for home use: Pond-Zyme™.
Use of enzymes in agriculture
Similar enzymes like Soil-Zyme™ are also very useful in agriculture. As Soil-Zyme™ is intended for high end use, mainly in golf courses where the 'look' is very important, it is of too high quality for 'simple' agricultural use.
Of course IRASSS tried to simplify the product for general use in agriculture, which resulted in Agri-Zyme™: a low cost enzyme product for improving soil quality in agriculture.
